Looking for Service Engineer (processing and packaging) across India (Pune, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Indore, Bhopal, Kolkata, Gurgaon, Bangalore)

Experience : 3 – 8 years

Knowledgeable in Packaging Machinery/Processing with exposure to Tetra Pak machinery. Should have experience in Troubleshooting and maintenance and should be willing to travel 80%.

Mechatronics, Electrical and electronics background is preferred.

Job Summary

Perform short term and site based planning, Coordination and execution of planned maintenance. Coordinate and execute corrective maintenance and adjust and trouble shoot control systems to certain levels of complexity. Execute commissioning work.

What you will do

  • Execute Capital Equipment installations at customer sites according to the ItP process. Be able to act as site responsible for L1 and L2 Capital Equipment installations at customer sites according to the ItP process.
  • Execute, plan and coordinate preventive maintenance activities, ensuring agreed performance of Tetra Pak lines. Reinstate lines into production according to procedures. Execute installation of relevant rebuilding kits/upgrades  according to procedures and reinstate lines into production.
  • Execute analysis and troubleshoot to resolve mechanical and automation issues. Conduct systematic root cause analysis of problems to enable permanent resolution. Promptly report and mange all discovered Technical Issues according to the QTIM process and, when needed, escalate to next appropriate level in a timely manner providing a proper problem description to ensure rapid resolution.
  • Inform relevant Tetra Pak Field Staff about ongoing service activities as well as of any issues affecting the customer or the quality of Tetra Pak service. Participate actively in looking for business opportunities and share them with technical sales responsible (e.g. TKAM). Suggest solutions and support technical sales activities.
  • Conduct relevant customer training.
  • Participate in building good relationships with customer staff and relevant colleagues in own Market Company. Act as an ambassador for Tetra Pak at all times, to ensure good working relationships with the customer and that TPs reputation is sustained. Share knowledge and support the building of skills of TP colleagues.
  • Execute and complete all relevant reports in an accurate and timely way. Distribute reports according to existing procedures and ensure that proper handover is done. Maintain a good knowledge and understanding of all relevant technical documentation.
  • Execute all work in accordance with Tetra Pak and Customer safety regulations and requirements and promote a safe working culture in the team. Execute all work in accordance with Tetra Pak standards and requirements regarding product quality and food safety. Address all discovered food safety, quality assurance and regulatory issues.

We believe you have

Food manufacturing industry, installations and/or service work, customer management, technical customer discussions/negotiations. Should have proven to be a good coach and mentor to more junior colleagues. Should have shown good leadership skills to be ready to start acting as site responsible for L1 and L2 Capital Equipment installations if relevant. Example of previous positions: Service Engineer from another company, Service Engineer C, Development Engineer
